Bay Area Vibez was an outstanding festival which capped off a satisfying close to the summer and welcomed in the fall equinox. Being the first ever event of its kind, the people behind Bay Area Vibez really pulled out all the stops to make it an unforgettable weekend! The festival took place in Oakland, California’s Middle Harbor Shoreline Park, a park built and operated by the Port of Oakland for the community, with more than two miles of pathways encircling Middle Harbor Basin. Immediately as you pull into the beautiful location in the industrial part of Oakland, you can see how hard the staff had been working to keep things running as efficient as possible. Meanwhile all of the festival attendees as far as the eye could see had the biggest smiles on their faces.  Everyone seemed like they were exactly where they needed to be.

Over the weekend, the music was prominent, however the picture perfect postcard view of the San Francisco Bay was really the weekend headliner here which provided the most stunning backdrop for the performers. Bay Area Vibez created a lineup that included two nights of incredible performers which included Grammy© winning artist, Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley, Nas, who has a #1 album on American Billboard top 200, eight time Grammy© winning artist/producer, Stephen “Ragga” Marley, Grammy© nominated Meshell Ndegeocello, #1 Billboard reggae performer Morgan Heritage, Tarrus Riley, Fiji, Fishbone, Krooked Treez, Richie Spice, I-Wayne, Queen Omega, Ghetto Youths, The Courtney John Project, Skip Marley, Black Am-I and the Oakland based fan favorite band, Forrest Day.
