Reggae Rise Up Utah announces first-round artists

Reggae Rise Up Utah is back in action with the first wave of artists announced for 2018! Taking place in the wooded glen of Heber City, Utah this August 24th-26th, Reggae Rise Up encourages camping onsite in tents, cabins and bungalows, allowing attendees the full festival experience as they walk between a Local Love Stage and the Rise Up Stage. Got an RV? No problem! There's a reserved RV Row right next to the craft vendor village. Between music, arts and the great outdoors, Reggae Rise Up Utah marks the end of summer with a three-day party you don't want to miss.

Reggae Rise Up Utah marks the end of summer with a three-day party you don't want to miss.

And, this year's lineup is already shaping up to be MASSIVE. Headliner number one for 2018 is the reggae-rock heavyweight champions of the world, Rebelution. Not to mention a Marley! Stephen Marley alongside other Jamaican reggae legends Steel Pulse will be there. Want more current reggae vibes? GRAMMY-nominees Common Kings are signed onto the bill, as well as Cali-reggae bands HIRIE and Iya Terra. Into hip hop? Zion I combines the right amount of reggae with his raps, and then, of course, there's New Kingston to complete the genres. Local bands in announcement number one (remeber that Local Love Stage mentioned earlier) are Tribe of I, Bludgeon Muffin, Funk & Gonzo and Herban Empire. It's refreshing to have a whole stage at a festival dedicated to new music.

Tickets are now on sale for RRU Utah 2018 and don't forget to also purchase lodging! Now is the time to seal the deal too, since Tier One pricing for general admission and VIP packages are still in effect. For more information, visit www.reggaeriseuputah.com.
