Rig up for Reggae on Route 66 Fest

Reggae, as a genre, is classic. Ever since its birth, reggae music has evolved to encompass so many subgenres along the way: island, roots, raggamuffin, dancehall, reggae rock, Cali reggae, alt-reggae, reggae-hip hop… the list goes on and on. Commemorating all that reggae represents are numerous national music festivals, each intending to spread good vibes and growth of the movement. Well, why not pair classic tunes with classic cars? Introducing the first annual Reggae on Route 66 Fest – where rhythm meets the road – this upcoming September 15th and 16th in Victorville, California. That's right, we're less than two weeks away!

Introducing the first annual Reggae on Route 66 Fest – where rhythm meets the road…

Why do you want to scrounge up last minute ticket money for this inaugural event, you ask? Besides the classic car show, which is unique in and of itself, RoR66 is about to bring together the biggest names in modern reggae music split between two stages at the SBC County Fairgrounds. Collie Buddz, Fortunate Youth, Iya Terra, Jesse Royal, The Green, Arise Roots, The Expendables, Mike Love, Josh Heinrichs, Leilani Wolfgramm, Maoli, Jordan T and Inna Vision are set to grace the Main Stage; that's an epic fest right there alone. But, Reggae on Route 66 pushes it even further with 77 Jefferson, Ital Vibes, Special Blend, SYNRGY, New Leaf, Sensamotion, Dubbest, Roots of Mine, Swells, After The Smoke, Irie Nationz and The Transcendental Experience on the secondary Good Vibes Stage. If the reggae movement were to get spliced into a sample study, these would be the bands involved. Joining the car and concert itinerary are craft food and beverage vendors, onsite camping (including RV hook-ups) and an all ages invitation. That's right, go ahead and bring the kids.

Although mere days away, passes are still available! General admission single day tickets are only $50 and the entire weekend runs an unbelievable $95 per person. What a deal. Want more? Upgrade to VIP packages starting as low as $160. All VIP tickets come with special entrances, premium viewing, private bars and restrooms, unlimited free beer tastings and exclusive lounge areas with charging and cooling stations… not to mention the VIP shwag bag, which, you guessed it, is filled with even more free, limited edition perks. Victorville has places to stay around the area, but might as well keep the party going after the headliner with your own two-person campsite ( $350 total, including two general admission passes) or revel in life on the road glory by bringing an RV ($950 for the hookup). Don't forget about the car show, which is an additional $50 to enter. To get your tickets before this massive fall fest sells out, visit reggaeonroute66.com.
