The Wash House Ting Tour with J Boog
On January 12, 2017, J Boog set out on his Wash House Ting Tour to promote his latest album, Wash House Ting. The album was released last November. J Boog will stop at various locations in parts of the U.S. for his Wash House Ting Tour with Jo Mersa Marley and Jemere Morgan. It was nice to see members of Morgan Heritage also accompanying the Grammys-nominated musician on tour to support not only him, but also Jemere.
The first stop of the tour was in San Diego, California at The Observatory in North Park. The show was sold-out and the line was long. Security was tight, but that did not stop reggae and Island music fans from enjoying the fruits of good music. Indeed, Jemere Morgan brought incredible, youthful reggae vibes. There was plenty of hot-stepping and lions roaring - not just from Morgan, but also from the eldest son of Stephen Marley, Mr. Jo Mersa Marley.
J Boog has incredible San Diego fans. They seemingly sang along to each of his songs, and their support for one of the most admired Island music artists is admirable. They seemed to enjoy the good vibes emanating throughout the night - first with the youthful version of dancehall music followed by the strong tropical feel of J Boog’s music, which utilizes heavy keys and bass. Dinah Jane Hansen from the musical group, Fifth Harmony, also made a guest appearance.
J Boog’s EP album, Rose Petals is up for a Grammy for Reggae Album of the Year. The event will take place in February. For more information about J Boog and his Wash House Ting Tour, check out his website.
