WORLD VIDEO PREMIERE: Ra Deal “Hold The Faith”

Title: Ra Deal - "Hold The Faith" [OFFICIAL VIDEO] Author: Top Shelf Reggae

The African Trod Riddim compilation from Rebel Sound Records continues to grow with Ra Deal's emotionally-charged world video premiere for "Hold The Faith", a song about returning to one's roots. This marks Ra Deal's second single off the album, following a track about finding one's own unique nirvana entitled "Free". Along the same line of thinking, Ra Deal exclaims "I and I hold the faith" that his country's senseless violence can subside in the new video by Adigun Productions, APS Columbian Films and Small Axe Entertainment's Cally B.

Ra Deal says despite everything, stand firm to Mother Africa for salvation.

What makes this track on the riddim compilation stand out from the others is Ra Deal's fast lyrical delivery to contrast against the slow bongo beat; this heightens the listener's attention and makes the call the action that much stronger. The video adds imagery to Ra Deal's message, depicting Jamaican citizens gathering together, holding lighters in the air and literally wagging fingers at gun violence and gangbanging as a result of racism. There is a better way. "Gun they gon' fight us", bullets can strike us, "them a' criticize us... baptize us", but no one can tear down your heritage. Ra Deal says despite everything, stand firm to Mother Africa for salvation.
